Cincinnati Bengals star defensive end Trey Hendrickson suffered a back injury during the second quarter of the team’s NFL Week 6 game against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.

Hendrickson went to the locker room with a trainer just before halftime. The Bengals announced Hendrickson was questionable to return, but downgraded him to out during the third quarter.

The Green Bay Packers reportedly pursued a trade for the 2024 NFL sacks leader before acquiring defensive end Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys for two first-round picks and defensive lineman Kenny Clark.

Hendrickson’s revised deal with the Bengals included a $14 million raise.

Rapoport reported in August that the Bengals were listening to trade offers for Hendrickson. Jordan Schultz reported that the Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts were among teams showing interest.
