Espanyol to win
Real Oviedo vs Espanyol
La Liga, 8pm Friday
Real Oviedo have had an eventful return to La Liga, sacking promotion-winning manager Veljko Paunovic after six defeats in their first eight matches.
Luis Carrion is back for a second spell in charge, although it may not be a case of ‘Keep Calm And Carrion’ when Oviedo host Espanyol on Friday.
The visitors narrowly avoided relegation last season but they have made a solid start to the new campaign and are a tempting price to claim their fourth league win.
Espanyol have a healthy tally of 11 goals in eight games and their underlying stats suggest they could have scored even more.
Oviedo, in contrast, have lost to nil against Villarreal, Real Madrid, Getafe, Elche and Levante suggesting their change of coach may not trigger an immediate upturn in results.
