Hull or draw double chance
Birmingham vs Hull
Championship, 3pm
Birmingham cantered to last season’s League One title with a record tally of 111 points but stepping up to the Championship is proving less straightforward.
Blues have won only one of their last six league matches and that victory was hardly comprehensive as Lyndon Dykes’s 94th-minute goal sealed a 1-0 home win over Swansea.
Birmingham’s recent setbacks include defeats to nil against Stoke, Leicester and Coventry and a 2-2 home draw with struggling Sheffield Wednesday, when Demarai Gray scored a 99th-minute equaliser.
The hosts should be opposed at odds-on when they take on Hull, who have lost only one of their last five in the Championship.
Striker Oli McBurnie is in sizzling goalscoring form and the Tigers, who impressed in last month’s 3-1 home win over Southampton, can pick up at least a point at St Andrew’s.
