Titans score first first-quarter TD of the season as Mike McCoy era opens with a bang

One thing has changed one quarter into the Mike McCoy era for the Tennessee Titans: A first-quarter touchdown.
Cam Ward found Chimere Dike for a 38-yard touchdown pass on the Titans’ second drive of the day against the New England Patriots on Oct. 19, with 5:04 to play in the first quarter.
The score was the Titans’ first first-quarter touchdown of the season.
Tennessee has often had to play from behind from the start in most games this season. But the Titans took a 10-3 lead on Oct. 19 against the Patriots.
Ward and the Titans offense scored on their first two drives of the game, adding a Joey Slye 49-yard field goal on the opening possession.
QB coach Bo Hardegree is still calling plays despite the head-coaching change. But something felt different about the Titans offense in the first quarter under McCoy, the interim head coach.
