On-track action will begin on Wednesday morning with the lone practice session for the Cup Series
before qualifying takes place the same night. Once the front two rows are set, Thursday night’s Duel races will set the reminder of the field before Sunday’s 200-lap main event.
From Hendrick Motorsports’
perspective, a victory on Sunday would be a historic achievement on several front. Not only would it be the first DAYTONA 500 three-peat from an organization in NASCAR history
but a William Byron victory would also be the first three-peat from a single driver in the event. But watch for Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott and Alex Bowman who have all nearly found victory lane in the season opener.
