In their first fight in December 2020, Mackenzie Dern came away with the unanimous decision win with all three judges scoring the contest 29-28.
Dern failed to land a takedown despite shooting five times, with Jandiroba landing the only takedown of that fight in round two.
However, in all three rounds Dern out struck her opponent, landing 82 significant strikes in comparison to Jandiroba’s 63.
Both fighters mainly targeted the head, with 69% of Dern’s significant strikes landing there. Jandiroba landed to the head with 73% of her significant strikes, only attacking the leg with 3% of her shots.
Since this fight, Dern has competed nine more times in the UFC, winning just five of those bouts.
Jandiroba hasn’t been as active with just seven fights in that timespan. But she has came out victorious on six occasions, her last defeat coming in October 2021 to Amanda Ribas.
