Taylor and Travis Kelce could be set for one seriously awkward run in on their Big Day

When it comes to ‘girl code’, there appears to be two strict categories. One: You stay well away from your friends’ exes and don’t put so much as a toe near them. Two: You ask your pal for permission to date their ex and pray it doesn’t ever get super awkward.
And it seems that cool-as-f**k actress Zoe Kravitz is, naturally, in the latter category after going public with her pal Taylor Swift’s ex Harry Styles during a romantic trip to Rome in August.
However, their romance, which friends say is going from strength to strength, could now be set to face an awkward hurdle as Taylor, 35, and new beau Travis Kelce, 36, start sending out their wedding invitations, with Zoe’s name bound to be on the guest list – potentially with a ‘plus one’.
And we’re told that Zoe, 36, sees no problem with Harry, 31, attending what is bound to be the wedding of the decade, while our insider warns that Taylor and Travis, meanwhile, are less than thrilled over the prospect of a run-in with Taylor’s ‘toxic’ ex.
The source says, ‘Zoe is super chill, she grew up in Hollywood with a rock star dad so the fact that Harry and Taylor dated doesn’t really faze her and it doesn’t seem to have crossed her mind that it might be uncomfortable for Taylor and Travis.
‘Zoe’s falling hard for Harry and she’s very close to Taylor, so if it were up to her they’d all be double dating, but there’s no way that will fly with Taylor or Travis. Taylor swears up and down that she doesn’t mind that Zoe is dating Harry, but she’s also not going to put herself, or Travis, in an uncomfortable position.’
Before she started dating Travis in 2023, Taylor famously dated a string of Hollywood’s most eligible bachelors – including One Direction heartthrob turned global megastar, Harry.

The iconic duo first met at the Kid’s Choice Awards in 2012 before going public with their romance when they were photographed strolling in Central Park in December.
And fans went so wild that before long, the pair had been given a portmanteau, ‘Haylor’.
However, their romance proved to be short lived, with the couple calling it quits a month later after pictures emerged of Harry kissing another girl – allegedly leading to Taylor leaving their Caribbean holiday early, while Harry was later spotted in a hot tub on Richard Branson’s private island…
Fans then speculated that Taylor’s hits, ‘Style’ and ‘Out of the Woods’ – which includes the lyric, ‘Looking at it now/ Last December/ We were built to fall apart’ – were inspired by their turbulent romance.
The pair have since continued to praise each other’s work, but the source says that behind-the-scenes, Taylor had been left cut up by Harry’s alleged infidelities.
We’re told, ‘It’s not like there’s bad blood between Taylor and Harry, they’re actually on friendly terms and have been for a while, but still, there’s history there. Everyone knows Taylor was obsessed with him and was left feeling pretty rejected, so seeing him with someone she considers a close friend has got to be more than a little strange.’

They add, ‘It’s pretty natural that things between her and Zoe would get a little complicated. Taylor’s fine seeing Harry at industry things but she isn’t interested in having him as a part of her tight-knit social circle so it’s hard to imagine this won’t create distance between her and Zoe.’
As for Travis, he undoubtedly left his ex-girlfriend of five years, sports journalist Kayla Nicole, seriously unimpressed after joking on his New Heights podcast that he ‘didn’t have any girlfriends’ before meeting Taylor.
And now the source says he would, in turn, like to forget about Taylor’s exes, too…
We’re told, ‘Travis understands that Taylor’s dated other men before, and he’s certainly had his share of girlfriends, but he knows Taylor doesn’t want him bringing any of them around and he feels the same about anyone she’s dated.
‘He doesn’t want to meet them and he certainly doesn’t want to hang out with them or, even worse, have one of them at his wedding. When the invites do go out to the wedding Taylor is probably going to be forced to have a very awkward talk with Zoe because Harry would almost certainly be banned if it were up to Travis.’
Meanwhile, after Harry’s break ups with actress and director Olivia Wilde in 2022, who was reportedly left heartbroken, and his subsequent split with actress and model Taylor Russell last year, the source says Taylor does secretly fear that Zoe could be headed for heartbreak, too.

‘By all accounts she’s also a little worried that Zoe will end up getting her heart broken,’ the insider says, ‘Harry has a reputation as a total player and there really isn’t any evidence that he’s changed. Just look at his dating history, he falls very hard and fast and then seems to lose interest just as quickly. Odds are things won’t be any different with him and Zoe.
‘But it’s not like Taylor can say that to Zoe, it would only look as though she has sour grapes, which is not the case at all. For now Taylor’s holding her tongue and being cautiously supportive.’
Meanwhile the source says that Taylor – who hosted Zoe and her mum during the California wildfires in January after they were forced to evacuate their home –is putting any awkward talks aside until it reaches ‘crunch time’ with the RSVP list.
‘She has so much going on in her own life anyway, it’s easy for her to put this on the backburner,’ the insider says.
‘She’s still close to Zoe and loves her dearly but that doesn’t mean she has to co-sign Harry or invite him to her wedding. Of course, if Zoe and Harry end up going the distance Taylor will be over the moon for them.
‘She wants all her friends to be as happy and in love as she is. And if things between Zoe and Harry crash and burn then Taylor will no doubt be there to help Zoe pick up the pieces without a word of ‘I told you so.’ That’s just the kind of friend she is.’
