Jerry Brown, 69, of Tawas City

Jerry L. Brown, a resident of Tawas City, formerly of Flint, passed away at his home on Friday, October 24, 2025, age 69 years.

Jerry was born on March 1, 1956 in Flint to Leslie Brown and Peggy Black. After his high school graduation, Jerry went to work for Buick City in Flint, and retired after 31 years, mostly as a paint technician.

Jerry enjoyed playing games and putting together puzzles, reading, and being outdoors cutting his lawn, playing golf, camping, boating, and spending time in his garage. He will forever be cherished as a selfless and supportive husband and father. Spending quality time with his family was his absolute favorite! He married his wife and best friend, Karla Brown on July 30, 1976. The couple celebrated 48 beautiful years of marriage together until her passing in March of 2025.

Jerry is also preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Brown, a sister, Brenda Green, and his parents, Leslie Brown and Peggy Wiseley. Jerry is survived by 2 daughters, Amy Brown of Phoenix, Arizona and Kayla Lurvey of Tawas City; grandson, Austin Johnson of Phoenix; sister, Sylvia Mead; brother, Jimmy Brown; and brother in laws John and Jerry Freel.

A gathering will be held at the Buresh Funeral Home in Tawas City on Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. Jerry will be laid to rest in the Crestwood Cemetery in Grand Blanc on Monday, November 3, 2025.
