WEATHER ALERT | Severe storms & heavy rain to impact Baltimore Tonight-Thursday

Weather Alert tonight through Thursday as the Baltimore area braces for impactful and possibly severe weather.

The next weather-maker is set to bring heavy rain and gusty winds to the region on Thursday. Isolated tornadoes and coastal flooding are possible. The Storm Prediction Center has placed the Baltimore metro under a marginal risk, threat level one of five, meaning that severe weather is possible.

Severe Thunderstorm Forecast

Rain will begin to move into the region late Wednesday night. Rain will last into Thursday. At times, rain could be heavy, leading to ponding on the roads early tomorrow morning. Plan for a rainy morning commute. Showers will last through the afternoon before tapering.

Heavy rain is possible overnight through tomorrow, and the Baltimore area could pick up one to three inches. Locally, some higher amounts are possible.
