Big Brother fans spot housemate’s telling reaction after eviction announcement

Big Brother fans were left distracted by a housemate’s reaction in the immediate aftermath of the series’ first double eviction
Big Brother viewers were left fixated on one housemate’s response in the moments following the reveal of who had been asked to depart the house during the programme’s inaugural double eviction.
Farida, Richard and Zelah were placed up for eviction this week. Whilst Farida and Richard found themselves in this position due to receiving the highest number of nominations, Zelah hadn’t actually received any votes from his fellow housemates.
Originally, it was Tate who made up the initial trio facing the public vote. Caroline held a save and replace token acquired during the latest visit to Big Brother’s Eye Market, and exercised this authority to rescue him and substitute him with Zelah.
The decision rested with the viewing public as to whom they would opt to keep. The two receiving the lowest votes would be shown the door in a Halloween double eviction.
In the end, it was disclosed during the closing moments of Friday’s live programme (31 October) that the housemates departing were Farida and Zelah, reports OK!.
Viewers tuning in from home were quick to share their thoughts on the revelation. One viewer commented on social media: “Sam smirking after Zelah’s name was read out”.

Another remarked: “That was worth it just to see Sam’s face.” Whilst a third responded along similar lines: “Aw Zelah, Sam and Caroline’s faces were so worth it though.”
Someone else observed that elements of the show have mirrored Love Island as they noted: “If Sam really liked Zelah he should of left with him.”
However, one viewer had reached their limit: “Please don’t show Sam crying for the rest of the evening on the Live feed later! He’s been featured way too much tonight already and I can’t take any more of him.”
Echoing this sentiment, another viewer commented on the Big Brother UK subreddit: “The shock that Richard survived on Sam’s face was funny.”
Meanwhile, Richard, who won the public vote, appeared visibly emotional as he processed the recent events, pacing around the house. Prior to the start of the companion show Late and Live, viewers were given an extended glimpse at the live feed of the house as they all discussed the results.

Nancy and Sam seemed to be debating why Zelah received a few boos from the live audience. A similar conversation was happening between Emily, Cameron and Jenny who previously misinterpreted the crowd’s chant as mentioning Cameron.
In reality, they were heard shouting “Get Carol out” earlier in the show.
Viewers were taken aback to see that Sam and Nancy still seemed to be misunderstanding the situation. One person predicted on X: “Now watch Sam and Nancy distance themselves from Caroline! Finally they have all been rumbled and the house has woken up to their scheming tactics that have backfired..”
Big Brother continues Sunday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
