Ex-WWE Champ Braun Strowman Claims He Doesn’t Get the Pau…

Braun Strowman insists he has no issue with Paul Heyman—even though their recent back-and-forth online tells a different story.
Appearing on TMZ’s Inside the Ring on October 21, the former WWE Universal Champion tried to set the record straight about what looked like a brewing feud with Heyman.
“I gotta stop you right there,” Strowman said when asked about the exchange. “I keep getting this thing about me tweeting with Paul Heyman. I never even talked about Paul or acknowledged Paul. I don’t know why he got so upset and came at me.”
The statement came across as puzzling given what fans saw on social media earlier this month.
On October 7, Strowman posted a clip from his 2017 rivalry with Roman Reigns, highlighting the moment Reigns was stretchered out after a brutal match. The post was a direct response to Heyman’s recent claim on Raw that no one had ever forced Reigns to leave an arena that way.
Alongside the clip, Strowman added a pointed caption: “yea ok Oswald Cobblepot!!”—a not-so-subtle reference to Batman’s Penguin villain.
Heyman fired back the next day with a sarcastic “letter” posted to X/Twitter: “Dear Mr. Strowman, Your post was brought to my attention. I have nothing negative to say about you, nor to you sir. In fact, I am actually relieved and indeed celebratory to learn you’re still alive, something most of us didn’t realize and even fewer cared about. With Love and Respect, Paul Heyman.”
Rather than escalating, Strowman flipped the reply into a plug for his new USA Network series Everything On The Menu. On October 9, he wrote, “Morning Paul, Thank you for such a thoughtful, kind, caring note but I’ve been quite busy and just getting started. Why don’t you tune in to #EverythingOnTheMenu premiering 10/24 on @usanetwork following @wwe #Smackdown. Stay well my friend!”
These exchanges have since been deleted. Still, Strowman doubled down in his TMZ interview, saying the whole situation was being blown out of proportion.
“I have no idea. I guess I struck a nerve or something. I didn’t deliberately, intentionally mean to talk to him or any of that stuff. Maybe he’s just sensitive—or maybe he misses me. That’s probably what it is,” he said. “I have no problems with nobody. I’m my own man. I can handle business how I need to handle business.”
