K’Lavon Chaisson believes in K’Lavon Chaisson.
Jacksonville’s first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft (No. 20 overall), Chaisson never really found his groove with the Jaguars and spent last year with the Raiders. In his first season in Foxborough however, Chaisson is in the midst of a career year.
In seven games, Chaisson has registered 4.5 sacks, eight quarterback hits, and five tackles for loss. He’s on pace to shatter career bests in all those categories and also scooped-and-scored a touchdown against the Titans earlier this month. He was named the AFC’s Defensive Player of the Week accordingly.
In an interview with the Boston Herald’s Doug Kyed, Chaisson was asked if there was a player in the league he felt was underrated or underappreciated.
“K’Lavon Chaisson,” Chaisson replied to Kyed.
If Chaisson keeps getting to the quarterback in New England, he won’t stay underrated for long.
