Selling Sunset: Why Fans Think Chelsea Lazkani Has Left The Show

The divide between our O Group agents has never been clearer than in season nine, with fans wondering whether some of our Selling Sunset stars might not return to the Netflix show – including British-born Chelsea Lazkani.

At a recent glitzy premiere party, the whole Selling Sunset crew stepped out to celebrate season nine. Everyone, that is, except for Chrishell Stause, Chelsea Lazkani, and Nicole Young. Given the premiere party was hosted by Bre Tiesi, reports that the duo were left off the guest list don’t seem too far fetched…

Of course, it’s been a rocky season for both Chelsea and Chrishell. Season nine continued Chelsea’s feud with Mary Bonnet, while Chrishell the star butted heads with both Nicole Young and former friend Emma Hernan.

And following Chrishell’s comments that she was ‘done’ with the Netflix show, fans have begun to question whether Chelsea has called time on the show too.

So, what went down for Chelsea on season nine? Is she really leaving Selling Sunset? Here’s everything we know about those rumours…

Why didn’t Chelsea attend Bre’s premiere party?

So far, it doesn’t seem like Chelsea has said anything to suggest she is leaving Selling Sunset – but it does appear the rumours began after she appeared to miss out on the premiere party.

According to TMZ, Bre took it upon herself to host a season nine premiere party. However, big names were missing from the celebrations – with Nicole, Chrishell, and Chelsea not attending.

Opening up about the party, insiders told TMZ that Nicole was invited to the party but didn’t have time to attend. As for Chelsea and Chrishell, sources said that Bre did consider inviting the pair, but decided against it in hopes to keep the party ‘positive’ and avoid further drama.

None of the involved parties have spoken on record about the party, or indeed why certain cast members were absent.

What happened on season nine for Chelsea?

If Chelsea were to decide to leave the Netflix show, it comes after a rather dramatic season for her – particularly with co-star Mary Bonnet.

Chelsea and Mary’s friendship fallout began last season, following Mary’s comments on Chelsea’s outfit during their open house. Things have only spiralled since then, with the pair further apart than ever this season.

It also seems the once-close trio of Emma Hernan, Chrishell and Chelsea have also drifted apart. The season saw Chrishell and Emma grow distant over her new relationship, with Chrishell since admitting that the friendships group no longer exists. Opening up about her relationship with Emma, Chrishell revealed, ‘We were best friends – me, her and Chelsea, who she also doesn’t speak to anymore. It’s a sad situation.’

Elsewhere, Chelsea also found her body the topic of conversation this season. If there’s one thing the world loves to do, it’s comment on women’s appearances. After the new series aired, fans quickly began to speculate over Chelsea’s ‘new body’.

In a previous post, the Selling Sunset star described herself as having previously looked ‘malnourished,’ revealing she’d lost ‘so much weight while filming due to stress.’ Last year, Chelsea filed for divorce from her ex-husband and father of her two children, Jeff Lazkani.

In May, Chelsea responded to trolling about her appearance in a since-deleted post, writing, ‘I never touched my face! Please stop this, I added weight, stopped wearing heavy makeup, eyeshadow and lashes. If you don’t like my natural face, just say that.’

Will Chelsea Lazkani return for season 10 of Selling Sunset?

Her absence from Bre’s premiere party coupled with Chrishell’s comments about being ‘done’ with the show has certainly left some fans wondering whether Chelsea might be ready to leave the Netflix show. However, it’s something Chelsea has yet to discuss (perhaps at the upcoming 5 November Selling Sunset reunion)…

As of now, Chelsea’s still very much a part of Selling Sunset – and while Netflix have yet to confirm whether season 10 will happen, it seems she won’t be leaving The O Group just yet.
