Voters are headed to the polls Tuesday for impactful governor’s races in Virginia and New Jersey as well as a high-profile mayoral contest in New York. Virginia is certain to elect its first female governor, while a democratic socialist is the front-runner in New York.
California voters are set to decide on Proposition 50. If the ballot measure passes, the state can bypass its independent redistricting commission and temporarily adopt a new congressional map that could add up to five Democratic U.S. House seats.
