It’s that time of year when all the pumpkin-flavored beverages begin to get phased out in favor of peppermint. Leading the way is no other than Starbucks, which is set to launch its holiday menu and seasonal cup offerings on Thursday, Nov. 6.
But while fans are thrilled for the return of the coffee giant’s beloved Peppermint Mocha and Caramel Brulée Latte, one new piece of merch is already stealing the spotlight. Enter the Bearista cup!
For the 2025 holiday season, Starbucks will be selling a 20-ounce, bear-shaped glass cup, complete with a green Starbucks-branded beanie and straw. The cup will cost $29.99 and be available for purchase in all U.S. and Canada stores.
On Tuesday, Nov. 4, customers got a sneak peek of the critter-shaped cup on Instagram. Starbucks posted a video of a barista making a drink in the novel glassware. The post was widely received with over 290,000 likes and over 6,000 comments from fans in awe of the Bearista cup. Comments ranged from “A definite NEED” and “Cannot wait to gift this for my bestie!” to “This is ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!!”
Even though the cup hasn’t even been released yet, it already seems to be shaping up to be a viral product. It’s been spotted on resale sites like eBay, where one cup is going for over $90 with 30-plus bids, as well as Mercari, where cups are being sold for as high as $139.
It’s unclear if these listings are real. But if you’re in the market for one, we recommend heading to your local Starbucks sooner rather than later. You never know when the next Stanley Cup craze or Trader Joe’s mini canvas tote sensation could strike.
