“Millions of families enjoyed their cranberry sauce this holiday season, but even one can of sauce not meeting expectations matters to us,” Ocean Spray said.

An Ocean Spray customer apparently opened cranberry sauce cans this Thanksgiving only to discover they were actually missing the holiday staple.
As shown in a viral Tik Tok that’s garnered close to half a million “likes” and almost 30,000 comments since it was posted on Friday, three Ocean Spray cranberry sauce cans, one of which was opened on camera, were full of water. And only water.

Someone in the video says, “I’m suing the company … They gonna pay me.”
After being notified of the mishap, the Massachusetts company said in a statement shared with Boston.com, “We’re aware of a few reports about cans containing water instead of cranberry sauce, and we’re looking into how this may have happened.”
“Millions of families enjoyed their cranberry sauce this holiday season, but even one can of sauce not meeting expectations matters to us,” Ocean Spray continued. “We’ve reached out to the folks who shared these videos to learn more and make it right.”
The commenters on the video, however, were less concerned with the lack of cranberry sauce than they were with the cans being opened with a knife.
The cranberry sauce mishap wasn’t the only side dish disaster that went viral ahead of Thanksgiving. Some Del Monte customers allegedly discovered beets inside cans supposed to be filled with green beans.
@lauraleigh47 @Del Monte Fresh Produce. Trying to finish up my Thanksgiving prep and was supposed to be making green beans wrapped in bacon. These are not green beans! Two different cans and in the trash it went! #thanksgivingprep #thanksgivingdisaster #wronglabel #viralvideo #fypツ ♬ original sound – Laura Leigh
