While it seemed like Sophie Trudeau already gave her insight into how she’s dealt with the news of her ex-husband Justin Trudeau dating Katy Perry, it seems she’s putting it all out on the line. While on Arlene Is Alone: The Single Life, via DailyMail, Sophie talked about how she goes about all the scrutiny and hearing about all sorts of news, saying she’s learned to “listen to the music, not the noise.”

Arlene Dickinson then asked about Justin, adding, “I don’t know how you stay cool… I really admire it because I would probably not be that way.”
Sophie said, “We’re human beings and stuff affects us. That’s normal. How you react to stuff is your decision… The woman I want to become through this is my decision. Does it mean that I don’t have emotions? That I don’t cry, scream, laugh? No. Especially that I’m a super tender heart.”
So it seems she’s definitely feeling the emotions that come with it, but she’s learning to focus on herself and her new era.

For those who don’t know, earlier this year, Perry and her ex-fiancé Orlando Bloom called their engagement off after nearly a decade together.
As for Trudeau, he split up with his wife of nearly 20 years, Sophie Grégoire, back in Aug 2023; and has kept very private with his dating life since. (Sophie and Justin knew each other as children, but later reconnected as adults in June 2003. They married in 2005 and welcomed three kids.)
Perry and Trudeau started reportedly dating after a July 28 date night in Montreal, and Trudeau attended Perry’s Lifetimes Tour in Montreal on July 29. (However, per The US Sun, they first met at an unnamed event a few weeks before their first date.)
Then, on October 11, the Daily Mail obtained photos of Trudeau and Perry kissing aboard Perry’s 24-meter yacht in Santa Barbara, California. Weeks after that, in late Oct 2025, they made their first official outing as a couple at Perry’s birthday party in Paris!
And, as we just said, they’ve been dating ever since!
