NFL Week 11 Power Rankings: Breakout players, a Bills free fall and a monster week on tap

Editor’s note: Every week, Josh Kendall and Chad Graff rank and analyze all 32 teams from first to worst.
The NFL has entered Week 11 — or as we like to call it, Power Rankings Week.
What an upcoming slate of games we have this week! The Tampa Bay Buccaneers face off against the Buffalo Bills at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday before the Seattle Seahawks meet the Los Angeles Rams and the Kansas City Chiefs play the Denver Broncos in the later window. Then, Sunday night, the Detroit Lions will match up against the defending Super Bowl-champion Philadelphia Eagles. We can’t wait!
Before we get there, though, we’re looking at a breakout player from all 32 teams.
1. Philadelphia Eagles (7-2)
Last week: 1
Monday: Beat Packers 10-7
Breakout player: Cooper DeJean
The second-year defensive back has already topped last year’s tackle total with 57. He didn’t have a big game Monday night, but he has been a steady force for a secondary that needed one. Holding the Packers to seven points counts as a good night for this defense.
Up next: vs. Lions, Sunday, 8:20 p.m. ET
2. Los Angeles Rams (7-2)
Last week: 2
Sunday: Beat 49ers 42-26
Breakout player: Nate Landman
The Rams got the linebacker this offseason on a one-year, $1.1 million deal. He leads the team with 83 tackles and is tied for second in the league with three forced fumbles. He had 11 tackles and a forced fumble Sunday.
Up next: vs. Seahawks, Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET
3. Seattle Seahawks (7-2)
Last week: 6
Sunday: Beat Cardinals 44-22
Breakout player: Jaxon Smith-Njigba
The third-year wide receiver already has 1,041 receiving yards, which is only 89 yards shy of his career high and 200 more than anyone else in the league. He has had at least 75 receiving yards in every game this season. Antonio Brown (2014) and Michael Irvin (1995) are the only other players in NFL history to do that in the first nine games of a season. Tyreek Hill (2023) and Justin Jefferson (2022) are the only receivers since at least 1999 with more yards in their first nine games, according to TruMedia.
Up next: at Rams, Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET
4. Indianapolis Colts (8-2)
Last week: 5
Sunday: Beat Falcons 31-25
Breakout player: Daniel Jones
The seventh-year quarterback was supposed to be riding out the end of a disappointing career in Indianapolis. Instead, he has the best passer rating of his career and is ninth in the league in EPA per dropback (0.18). Jones’ 265.9 passing yards per game and 8.3 passing yards per attempt are both career highs, and his 15 touchdowns tie for his second-best season. He’s the league’s best bargain, on a one-year, $14 million deal.

5. Detroit Lions (6-3)
Last week: 7
Sunday: Beat Commanders 44-22
Breakout player: Jack Campbell
The third-year linebacker is a tackling machine against the run (76 stops overall). That’s no surprise. His four sacks and four quarterback hits are, though. Considered a one-dimensional player when the Lions (supposedly) overdrafted him with the 18th pick in 2023, Campbell has proven to be anything but that. The other Campbell, head coach Dan, took over play-calling duties Sunday, which is worth monitoring.
Up next: at Eagles, Sunday, 8:20 p.m. ET
6. New England Patriots (8-2)
Last week: 9
Sunday: Beat Buccaneers 28-23
Breakout player: Kayshon Boutte
The Patriots didn’t seem to miss Boutte too much Sunday, thanks to Mack Hollins’ 106 receiving yards, but they’ll be happy to have him back from his hamstring injury. That return could come as early as this week. In New England’s first nine games, Boutte had 431 receiving yards, which is only 158 yards shy of his career high, and he’s second in the league at 18.7 yards per catch.
Up next: vs. Jets, Thursday, 8:15 p.m. ET
The playoff predictor at @TheAthleticNFL gives the Patriots a better than 80 percent chance of hosting a home playoff game — and a 35 percent chance at a bye. https://t.co/muMWypvQ0v pic.twitter.com/n2RZI9lrSU
— Chad Graff (@ChadGraff) November 10, 2025
7. Denver Broncos (8-2)
Last week: 8
Thursday: Beat Raiders 10-7
Breakout player: Talanoa Hufanga
Denver expected Hufanga to help when they signed him to a three-year, $39 million contract in the offseason after four years in San Francisco, and he has. Hufanga led Denver with nine tackles Thursday night and recorded his second sack of the season and the fourth of his career. He has 70 tackles, which is already the second most of his career.
Up next: vs. Chiefs, Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET
8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-3)
Last week: 4
Sunday: Lost to Patriots 28-23
Breakout player: Tykee Smith
If we were looking for rookies, it would be Emeka Egbuka in a rout. The first-year wide receiver is ninth in the league in receiving and has a better yards-per-catch average (16.9) than anyone else in the top 10. But Smith, the second-year safety, leads Tampa Bay in tackles (74) and passes defended (nine). He also has two sacks and five tackles for loss. On Sunday, he got his first interception of the season.
Up next: at Bills, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET

9. Los Angeles Chargers (7-3)
Last week: 14
Sunday: Beat Steelers 25-10
Breakout player: Tuli Tuipulotu
The third-year outside linebacker isn’t coming out of nowhere. He had 8.5 sacks a year ago, but he’s taking it up a notch this year. After recording another sack Sunday against the Steelers, he’s tied for fifth in the league with eight, and he’s tied for third in the league with 48 quarterback pressures.
Up next: at Jaguars, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET
10. Green Bay Packers (5-3-1)
Last week: 11
Monday: Lost to Eagles 10-7
Breakout player: Colby Wooden
It’s not easy for noseguards to stand out, but Wooden is doing it in his third year with the Packers. He was a force against the run again on Monday night and had five tackles to bump his season total up to a career-high 28.
Up next: at Giants, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET
After falling to the Eagles at home, the Packers are 5-3-1 this season.

11. Buffalo Bills (6-3)
Last week: 3
Sunday: Lost to Dolphins 30-13
Breakout player: Dalton Kincaid
The Bills aren’t getting enough from their wide receiver room, but at least Kincaid looks to be returning to his rookie form. The third-year tight end is eighth among tight ends with 448 receiving yards (which ties last year’s season total and puts him on pace for a career high) and leads the Bills with four receiving touchdowns. If you think things in Buffalo are bad now, imagine how bleak it could get if Kincaid is out for a while after leaving Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury.
Up next: vs. Buccaneers, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET
12. Kansas City Chiefs (5-4)
Last week: 10
Sunday: Bye
Breakout player: Kareem Hunt
The ninth-year running back leads the Chiefs in touchdowns (six) and is averaging 4.0 yards per carry, his highest average since 2021 in Cleveland. Hunt has never again reached the heights he did as a rookie in Kansas City when he had 1,327 yards on the ground, but this season hasn’t been bad for a player many thought might be done.
Up next: at Broncos, Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET
13. San Francisco 49ers (6-4)
Last week: 13
Sunday: Lost to Rams 42-26
Breakout player: Mac Jones
Mac Jones may have to give up the starting job this week as Brock Purdy gets closer to full strength. Is it weird that we’re going to miss him? Jones was 33-of-39 for 319 yards and three touchdowns Sunday. He’s eighth in the NFL in passing yards per game (236) and tied for 13th in EPA per dropback (0.11). And, for what it’s worth, Fox analyst Tom Brady said Sunday he thinks the Niners should stick with Jones even when Purdy is ready.
Up next: at Cardinals, Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET
14. Pittsburgh Steelers (5-4)
Last week: 12
Sunday: Lost to Chargers 25-10
Breakout player: Jaylen Warren
The fourth-year running back was the lone bright spot for the offense Sunday, gaining 70 yards on 14 carries. He has 477 rushing yards, putting him on pace for a career high, and he’s 13th in the league in yards after contact per carry (3.1), according to TruMedia. His three touchdowns are one short of his career high, and he hasn’t fumbled, which is an improvement from past seasons.
Up next: vs. Bengals, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET
15. Chicago Bears (6-3)
Last week: 17
Sunday: Beat Giants 24-20
Breakout player: Caleb Williams
It’s tough for a guy who was the No. 1 pick a year ago to earn this distinction, but Williams deserves it after a gutty, 230-yard effort Sunday that led Chicago to its sixth win in seven games. His 17-yard touchdown run was the game-winning score Sunday, and he had 63 yards on the ground overall. After a shaky rookie season, Williams is 12th in EPA per dropback (0.09) under first-year head coach Ben Johnson.
Up next: at Vikings, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET
Caleb Williams scrambled on 6 of his 13 dropbacks in the fourth quarter of the Bears’ comeback win over the Giants, recording 3 explosive plays.

16. Baltimore Ravens (4-5)
Last week: 19
Sunday: Beat Minnesota Vikings 27-19
Breakout player: Nate Wiggins
The second-year cornerback held Justin Jefferson to four catches (on 12 targets) and 37 yards Sunday. He already has career highs in interceptions (two) and tackles (39) and led the Ravens in stops Sunday with seven. Baltimore, by the way, has won three straight and has the Browns, Jets and Bengals up next.

17. Carolina Panthers (5-5)
Last week: 16
Sunday: Lost to Saints 17-7
Breakout player: Rico Dowdle
In addition to giving us the best touchdown celebration of the season, Dowdle is second in the NFL in rushing since Week 5, when he took over for Chuba Hubbard. He has 704 yards in that span and 778 for the season, which ranks third in the league. His five rushing touchdowns are a career high, and he’s on pace to top his career high in yardage (1,079) well before the end of the season.

18. Houston Texans (4-5)
Last week: 21
Sunday: Beat Jaguars 36-29
Breakout player: Xavier Hutchinson
You won’t lose any NFL fan points if you don’t know who Hutchinson is. The wide receiver and sixth-round pick in 2023 has had an unremarkable 41-game career so far, but right now, he’s more productive than Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel, who were top-80 picks this spring. Hutchinson had at least one catch in each of the first eight games this season and has almost doubled his career high for a season with 222 receiving yards on 21 catches.
Up next: at Titans, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET
19. Jacksonville Jaguars (5-4)
Last week: 15
Sunday: Lost to Texans 36-29
Breakout player: Travis Etienne
Things aren’t going great in Jacksonville, where the Jaguars have lost three of four after a hot start. But at least Etienne is having a nice bounce-back season. He has 656 rushing yards, which ranks 12th in the league and tops last year’s total of 558. He also scored his third rushing touchdown Sunday, which topped last year’s total of two. Parker Washington, who had a 72-yard punt return touchdown Sunday and is on the way to career highs in catches and yards, deserves a nod, too.

20. Minnesota Vikings (4-5)
Last week: 18
Sunday: Lost to Ravens 27-19
Breakout player: Eric Wilson
In his ninth year, Wilson has a career-high 3.5 sacks while leading the Vikings in tackles with 57. He’s second on the team in tackles for loss and has two interceptions. Not bad for a veteran who has played for three teams since leaving the Vikings after his first stint with the team in 2020.
Up next: vs. Bears, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET
21. Dallas Cowboys (3-5-1)
Last week: 22
Sunday: Bye
Breakout player: Javonte Williams
The fifth-year running back is on the verge of besting his career single-season mark of 903 yards after just nine games. Williams is sixth in the league with 716 rushing yards and third in rushing touchdowns with eight. He’s playing so well that Cowboys fans aren’t even sick to their stomachs that they let Rico Dowdle go.
Up next: at Raiders, Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET
22. Arizona Cardinals (3-6)
Last week: 20
Sunday: Lost to Seahawks 44-22
Breakout player: Dadrion Taylor-Demerson
The second-year safety already has two interceptions and 35 tackles, which is only two short of his career high. No one else in Arizona is doing much noteworthy — other than Calais Campbell, who has five sacks in his 18th season. Not bad for a 39-year-old.
Up next: vs. 49ers, Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET
23. Atlanta Falcons (3-6)
Last week: 23
Sunday: Lost to Colts 31-25
Breakout player: Brandon Dorlus
The second-year defensive tackle, a fourth-round pick a year ago, has 4.5 sacks this year after playing fewer than 50 snaps his entire rookie season. The improved pass rush is about the only positive at the moment as the offense is struggling and the Falcons have lost four straight.
Up next: vs. Panthers, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET
Chase Brown of the Bengals has averaged 6.4 yards per carry over his last three games and could soon benefit from the return of quarterback Joe Burrow. (Dylan Buell / Getty Images)
24. Cincinnati Bengals (3-6)
Last week: 24
Sunday: Bye
Breakout player: Chase Brown
After a disappointing start, Brown is starting to look like the player many expected him to be coming into the season. He’s had 218 of his 420 rushing yards in the last three games, and had eight catches for 75 yards against the Bears in Week 9. Joe Burrow’s eventual return would only help his production.
Up next: at Steelers, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET
25. Washington Commanders (3-7)
Last week: 25
Sunday: Lost to Lions 44-22
Breakout player: Luke McCaffrey
Yes, he’s likely out for the season after breaking his collarbone in Week 9, but McCaffrey still deserves this spot for trying to break out of big brother Christian’s shadow. Luke was averaging 18.5 yards per offensive touch and had scored three touchdowns on his 11 touches when his season was cut short. A tough break for a Commanders team looking for any good news.
Up next: at Dolphins, Sunday, 9:30 a.m. ET (in Madrid)
26. Miami Dolphins (3-7)
Last week: 29
Sunday: Beat Bills 30-13
Breakout player: Malik Washington
The 2024 sixth-round pick had his second touchdown of the season (and second of his career) in Sunday’s upset victory. He already has a career-high 30 catches this season, and he’s only 9 yards away from his career high in that statistic, too. Throw in 78 rushing yards, and it’s not a bad start in what has been a mostly forgettable season for Miami.
Up next: vs. Commanders, Sunday, 9:30 a.m. ET (in Madrid)
27. New Orleans Saints (2-8)
Last week: 31
Sunday: Beat Panthers 17-7
Breakout player: Kool-Aid McKinstry
After an up-and-down rookie season, McKinstry has notched the first two interceptions of his career this season. He’s tied for 22nd in the league with seven pass deflections, and he surpassed his career high in tackles Sunday when he tallied six to get to 46 for the season.

28. Las Vegas Raiders (2-7)
Last week: 26
Thursday: Lost to Broncos 10-7
Breakout player: Tre Tucker
It’s been tough to stand out on this awful Raiders offense, but Tucker is trying. The third-year wide receiver leads Las Vegas with 34 catches for 455 yards and four touchdowns. He’s fewer than 100 yards from a career high in yardage, and he has already topped his previous mark in touchdowns.
Up next: vs. Cowboys, Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET
29. New York Jets (2-7)
Last week: 30
Sunday: Beat Browns 27-20
Breakout player: Breece Hall
Maybe bounce-back is a better descriptor for Hall than breakout, but he deserves some recognition for putting to rest worries about his long-term potential and for being on pace for a career-high 1,254 rushing yards. Plus, it sounds like he might need a pick-me-up after not being traded to a happier locale, like Sauce Gardner was.

30. New York Giants (2-8)
Last week: 27
Sunday: Lost to Bears 24-20
Breakout player: Brian Burns
A guy of this caliber has to do something special to be counted as a “breakout” player, and Burns has. He has 11 sacks already, which ties for the league lead and is just 1.5 shy of his career high for a season. He also has 17 quarterback hits and is tied for the league lead with five passes batted down at the line of scrimmage, according to TruMedia. Wan’Dale Robinson and his 53 catches for 602 yards deserve an honorable mention. Neither could save Brian Daboll’s job.
Up next: vs. Packers, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET
31. Cleveland Browns (2-7)
Last week: 28
Sunday: Lost to Jets 27-20
Breakout player: Maliek Collins
There should be an All-Pro team just for good players who are wasting away on hopeless teams. Collins would be a first-teamer this year. The 10-year veteran is loving life alongside Miles Garrett. He has four sacks, just one short of his career high, and he has eight quarterback hits. That’s not a bad half of a season for a tackle.
Up next: vs. Ravens, Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET
32. Tennessee Titans (1-8)
Last week: 32
Sunday: Bye
Breakout player: Jihad Ward
Let’s hear it for another old(er) guy! Ward is in Year 10. He’s played for seven teams, including three in the last three seasons. And he, like every other Titan, is in a bad situation right now. Still, Ward has 3.5 sacks and 12 quarterback hits, putting him on pace to easily set new career highs.
Up next: vs. Texans, Sunday 1 p.m. ET
