Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr. out Sunday vs. 49ers

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. will not play on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers because he underwent surgery for appendicitis on Monday, head coach Jonathan Gannon told reporters Wednesday.
“We’ll see,” Gannon said when asked whether Harrison will miss one week or more.
Additionally, Gannon said linebacker Mack Wilson Sr. will miss a second straight game with a ribs injury and edge rusher Baron Browning is in concussion protocol.
Wide receivers Simi Fehoko (arm) and Zay Jones (torn Achilles) went on injured reserve, so the wide receivers room will be stretched even further.
Arizona’s remaining active receivers are Michael Wilson, Greg Dortch, Xavier Weaver and Andre Baccellia, the latter of whom just signed from the practice squad. Jalen Brooks, Jalen Virgil and Tejhaun Palmer are on the practice squad.
Harrison had not missed a game this season after playing in all 17 as a rookie. He leads all Cardinals wide receivers in catches with 34 and receiving yards with 525 this season. He has also caught four touchdowns.
Harrison caught three passes on 12 targets for 33 yards in Arizona’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks this past Sunday.
