Offset’s cryptic post came just days after Cardi confirmed Nov. 13 that she and her boyfriend of over a year had welcomed their baby boy.
“I brought new music and a new album to the world!” Cardi wrote in an Instagram post at the time. “A new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me, one more reason to love me more than anything else or anyone else so I can continue giving my babies the love and life they deserve.”
And while Cardi has previously shared she likes texts from her exes when they want a second chance, she and Offset are unlikely to go another round.
“It was great while it lasted,” Offset, 33, told the Associated Press Aug. 16. “That shouldn’t be the topic for either one of us no more. It’s a book that’s closed.”
As he put it, “It’s all love and peace. I just ended the album with that, just to end that chapter because it’s time to move on, it’s over and done with.”
Similarly, Cardi, also 33, isn’t letting her past get in the way of her future with the New England Patriots player.
“I would get married again,” the rapper—who sparked dating rumors with Stefon back in February—said during a Sept. 16 appearance on Today. “I believe in love. I’m like a hopeless romantic.”
