Jaland Lowe suffers injury in Blue-White Game: Kentucky Wildcats Basketball

The Kentucky Wildcats are holding their breath after watching starting point guard Jaland Lowe exit Friday’s Blue-White with what appeared to be an arm or shoulder injury.

The play in question happened late in the game when Otega Oweh was attempting to steal the ball from Lowe, and a collision led to Lowe going down in obvious pain while holding his right shoulder.

After being down on the court for about a minute, Lowe was able to get up and walk off under his own power to the locker room for further testing.

If Lowe were to miss time, Collin Chandler and Denzel Aberdeen would likely alternate the point guard duties, while Jasper Johnson would also get more run on the ball.

For what it’s worth, our own Dylan Ballard was down on the court taking pictures and heard Lowe say he “popped out.”

Meanwhile, after the game, head coach Mark Pope said Lowe “tweaked” his shoulder and that the team will know more tomorrow on the extent of it.

Fingers crossed this isn’t serious for Lowe.
