Kimmel claps back at ‘snowflake’ Trump in searing takedown

Jimmy Kimmel fired back at President Donald Trump after he demanded again that the late night host be fired.

Trump reignited his longtime feud with Kimmel in an early morning post on Truth Social on Thursday, questioning why Kimmel was still on the air. During Thursday’s show, Kimmel responded to Trump’s post that called the comedian “a man with NO TALENT and VERY POOR TELEVISION RATINGS.”

Kimmel noted that Trump posted his latest attack about 11 minutes after his previous show ended.

“He watches us live! Hi, Mr. President, thanks for watching us on TV instead of on YouTube. We appreciate that. And I’ll tell you, it’s viewers like you who keep us on the air,” Kimmel said.

“Ironically, it’s also sweet that even in the middle of the biggest sex scandal in the history of the American presidency, he takes precious time on the toilet to post about our show. Keeps saying we have bad ratings, and you should listen to him, because if anyone knows about bad ratings, it’s that guy,” he added.

Kimmel then explained that Trump has repeatedly called for him to be fired.

“I have honestly lost count now of how many times the president has demanded I be pulled off the air. I mean, talk about a snowflake,” Kimmel said.

The late night host then said Trump tried to get him fired in September. Trump celebrated the show’s brief suspension from the air that month following backlash to comments Kimmel made about the assassination of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk.

“And you’ve done this before. You tried to get me fired in September. It didn’t work, Mr. President, I admire your tenacity if you’re watching tonight, which I presume you are,” Kimmel said.

Kimmel then offered a deal to Trump before hurling his own insult at him.

“How about this? I’ll go when you go. Okay, let’s ride off into the sunset together, like ‘Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.’ And until then, if I may, borrow a phrase from you, ‘Quiet piggy!’” Kimmel said.

Trump faced intense backlash after calling a reporter, “piggy,” on Air Force One last week.

In a moment that went viral on social media, Trump lashed out at the female reporter asking him questions about the late disgraced financier Jeffrey Epsteinon Friday. He told the reporter, “Quiet! Quiet, piggy!” when she attempted to ask a follow-up to her initial question.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt defended Trump’s insult during a press briefing on Thursday, saying that the president was just being “honest.”

“Look, the President is very frank and honest with everyone in this room. You’ve all seen it yourself. You’ve all experienced it yourselves. And I think it’s one of the many reasons that the American people reelected this president because of his frankness,” Leavitt told reporters.
