Niclas Fullkrug exit on the cards allows West Ham United to take step to sign Promise David

West Ham United are keen on signing Promise David in January, and his arrival could see Niclas Fullkrug leaving the club.
Fullkrug moved to the London Stadium in 2024 but has struggled to make an impact on the West Ham first team.
The German international has faced form and fitness issues and has seldom justified the faith shown in the hierarchy, given that they paid £27million to Dortmund to sign him.

West Ham United make enquiry to sign Promise David
According to Claret & Hugh, the Hammers have already begun work on making new signings in the January transfer window.
West Ham have launched an enquiry to sign Union SG striker Promise David.
The 24-year-old Canada international is a regular starter for the Belgian side and is having a good domestic campaign thus far.
On 16 September 2023, 22-year-old Promise David played for Nõmme Kalju reserves against Läänemaa JK in the Estonian 3rd tier.
Last night, exactly two years later, he scored his first Champions League goal.

The 6ft 5in forward has scored seven goals in 15 games in different Belgian competitions and has also found the back of the net in the Champions League.
He signed a contract extension until 2029 in June this year and if the Hammers are to sign him, they may have to shell out around £17million.
It’s understood that, along with West Ham, Leeds United and Brighton are also keeping tabs on David.
Brighton may hold the edge as USG and the Seagulls are both owned by Tony Bloom under his multi-club structure.

Niclas Fullkrug may be ready to pack up his bags
It seems that the moves being made to sign David suggest that Fullkrug is on his way out of West Ham.
He did not seem to have his head in the game even when he was brought off the bench in the recent draw against Bournemouth.
There are a number of teams in Europe keeping tabs on him and it’s fair to assume that he’s started his last game for the club.
Given Callum Wilson’s recent performances, it’s hard to drop him from the starting eleven and even if he gets injured, Nuno Espirito Santo is more likely to play Jarrod Bowen as a striker than start Fullkrug.
It remains to be seen if the Hammers can sign David or another striker with the money they receive from selling the German forward.
