National Boyfriend Day and National Girlfriend Day, two days honoring the romantic partners in our lives, arrive this week.
Feeling a little déjà vu? That’s because there already was a National Girlfriend Day 2025 earlier this year on Aug.1, although that celebration was slightly different.

The second National Girlfriend Day, on Oct. 1, is celebrated between romantic partners. During the pseudo-holiday, partners are encouraged to show their sweetie just how much they love and care for them through acts of kindness, heartfelt gifts, or by simply spending time with them.

National Boyfriend Day occurs annually on Oct. 3, which is a Friday this year.

When is Sweetest Day?
Sweetest Day is celebrated annually on the third Saturday in October. It’s a day to share romantic deeds, expressions, acts of charity and kindness.
This year, it falls on Saturday, Oct. 18.
