Aldi recalls two holiday sweets over undeclared allergens, FDA announces

Two popular holiday sweets sold at Aldi have been recalled for possible undeclared allergens in the products. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced on Wednesday that the voluntary recall by Silvestri Sweets affects the Choceur Cookie Butter Holiday Bark and the Pecan, Cranberry and Cinnamon Holiday Bark.

According to the company, the Choceur Holiday Bark may contain undeclared pecans and the Pecan, Cranberry and Cinnamon Holiday Bark may contain undeclared wheat.

Both sweets were sold nationwide in Aldi stores in five-ounce packages. There have not been any illnesses reported in connection with Silvestri Sweets’ recall.
