Colts CB Sauce Gardner exits Week 13 game vs. Texans with injury

Colts CB Sauce Gardner exited the team’s Week 13 game against the Texans with an injury. Here is the latest update.

Indianapolis Colts’ cornerback Sauce Gardner exited Sunday’s Week 13 matchup with the Houston Texans after the second play.

According to the team at this time, Gardner is questionable to return with a calf injury.

Gardner went to the blue medical tent and was then helped to the locker room.

The Colts acquired Gardner prior to the NFL trade deadline to solidify their cornerback position.

To land Gardner, the Colts traded their 2026 and 2027 first-round draft picks to the New York Jets, along with wide receiver AD Mitchell.

In Gardner’s first two games with the Colts, he has allowed five receptions on 10 targets for 38 yards with two pass breakups. He’s also made 12 tackles.

With Gardner, the Colts have become a very man-coverage-heavy defense.

“He’s a very aware player,” Lou Anarumo said of Gardner last week. “Very smart, very intelligent guy. Picked up the system very well.”

We will update this article as additional reports come in.
