It would make for a romantic, sentimental story, the old GOAT with his six Super Bowl rings returning to the franchise he has always loved and trying to revive and resurrect it before he rides off into the sunset with his young girlfriend.
And this is what the Giants should say if and when Belichick feels compelled to bolt Chapel Hill and North Carolina and comes knocking on their East Rutherford door:
