Nicole Kidman won’t hide from divorce — while insiders cast blame on Keith Urban for split

(NewsNation) — Forget hiding away during a divorce, hunkering down and circling the wagons — Nicole Kidman is about to be everywhere

Just days after filing for divorce from Keith Urban, her husband of 19 years, Kidman and her daughters Faith and Sunday showed up to the Chanel fashion show in Paris.

And the photographers will have to chug some Red Bull to keep up with the flame-haired actress as she is about to hit red carpets and our screens with a vengeance.

Kidman has three major movies and TV shows in post-production at the moment: “Practical Magic 2,” “Scarpetta” and “Margo’s Got Money Troubles.”

What is inside Nicole Kidman’s $250M net worth?

While “Practical Magic” is a movie — so, a one-off — “Scarpetta” (for Amazon Prime) and “Margo’s Got Money Troubles” (Apple TV) are both series expected to run for several seasons, depending on their success.

There will, of course, be red carpet appearances as well as award shows to attend to, premieres and marketing/TV appearances.

”Nic is about to blanket the media,” a source said.

”She is of course devastated about her divorce, but she is an actress in her prime and she loves to work.”

The actress also has two more TV series: “Girls and their Horses” and “Discretion,” which are in pre-production.

Kidman, who has done a slew of movies and TV shows in the past five years, was criticized for overtly sexual roles and the amount of time she spent filming after the news of her divorce came out.

Nicole Kidman prioritizes family

But the condemnation is out of whack as Kidman always prioritized her family — often insisting on filming in her home of Nashville, or if she had to film out of town, it would be during the school summer break.

Urban, however, has spent a lot of the past five years on the road — and in the studio.

In 2022, he went on his “Speed of Now” tour, which lasted a full seven months (from the end of April to mid-December) and was comprised of 80 shows throughout Europe, North America and Australia.

The next year, in 2023, Urban had a Las Vegas residency at the Zappos Theater inside Planet Hollywood, which saw him play 16 shows spread out over March, June and July of that year.

And of course, there is this year’s “High and Alive” world tour — which kicked off in May in Alabama — and has kept the country singer on the road ever since.

”It is deeply misogynistic and unfair for people to blame Nic for the dissolution of her marriage — claiming she was never home and always working,” the source said.

”Keith has been on the road as well — but his work takes him traveling all over the world for extended periods of time. And of course, he had rehearsals, writing sessions, recordings, studio time — you name it.”

Kidman shocked the world last week when she filed for divorce from Urban after 19 years of marriage. The two had reportedly been living apart since June (at Urban’s behest), but Kidman — often described as a “ride or die” — was convinced the couple would work things out … until the rumors of infidelity surfaced.

Keith Urban’s rumored romance

According to TMZ, Kidman and Nashville insiders say there is another woman involved.

It has been a year of changes for Urban, who fired three of his longtime band members in April, including Jerry Flowers, a guitar player and his band leader for more than 25 years, drummer Terence F. Clark and his keyboard player, Nathan Barlowe.

“It’s with a heavy but full heart that after 25 years on stage with Keith Urban, Keith has decided to make a lineup change and I will no longer be in the band,” Flowers wrote on Instagram.

Soon after, Urban hired lead guitarist Maggie Baugh — whom he has been serenading on stage since the divorce announcement — changing the words of “The Fighter” (a song he wrote for Kidman) to honor Baugh.

In one performance, he changed the original line “When they’re tryna get to you, baby I’ll be the fighter,” to be sung as “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player.”

Baugh, who is said to have a boyfriend, has stayed mum on the rumors but is using the controversy to plug her new single, “The Devil Win,” on Instagram.
