Edmonton forecast is fantastic with a 27-degree temperature swing | News

While Alberta quivers under some extreme cold this week, the forecast for Edmonton is hinting at a nice change in temperatures soon.
Edmonton, like much of Alberta, is currently under a cold warning, with Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) stating that a period of very cold wind chills near or below minus 40 continues.
Wind chills of minus 40 are occurring this morning and will return tonight for many regions in Alberta. Wind chills will moderate on Friday afternoon for much of the province.
Looking at the seven-day forecast, Edmonton is set to reach a sunny high of -17°C today, with an overnight low of -26°C. Temperatures remain frigid as we roll through to the weekend, with Friday seeing a high of -13°C, -16°C on Saturday, and -15°C on Sunday.
The warmer temperatures really ramp up as we wiggle through the start of next week, with Monday, Feb. 16, showing a high of -12°C and a low of -16°C.
On Tuesday, Feb. 24, Edmonton is forecast to reach a high of -4°C, while reaching -10°C overnight. Wednesday, Feb. 25, isn’t looking even better, with a high of 1°C. After what we have been experiencing this week, a temperature above zero is sure to feel great.
When you do the math between today’s evening low and the high on Wednesday, it’s a temperature change of 27 degrees.
