5.9M quake strikes in Nevada

DAYTON, Nev. – An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 struck in Nevada on Thursday morning, according to an initial alert from the US Geological Survey.
The quake struck just after 8 a.m. east of Dayton, Nevada.
Then, moments later, the USGS deleted the event from its website.
KTVU reached out to the USGS to understand this discrepancy.
Dayton is 40 miles from Reno.
