The Seahawks beat up the Atlanta Falcons Sunday, winning 37-9 and looking every bit a legitimate Super Bowl contender. A complete team that can throw, run, play defense, and will add a special teams score for good measure, they figure to be one of the toughest outs in this year’s playoffs, regardless of whether they win the division or head on the road in the Wildcard.

The Panthers got considerable help from their division foes, the New Orleans Saints, Sunday when the underdog team upset the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs’ loss keeps the Panthers within one game of the NFC South lead and a shot at a home playoff game, something few would have imagined considering how bad the team has looked when playing at its worst this season. A win over the seemingly unstoppable Los Angeles Rams last week did not hurt, either.
