“Kills you inside” – Crystal Palace player not happy at all

When Christantus Uche was leaving Getafe in the summer window, he was treated like a commodity.

The Spanish club’s president Angel Torres stood outside the club’s training centre happy to repeatedly speak to the media. It appeared he was trying to blame the attacker’s impending transfer on Uche himself, and the player’s agent.

First they tried to send him to Wolves, before Crystal Palace became the answer.

Unfortunately for Torres he contradicted himself multiple times and it was clear Getafe were pushing the player out in hope of a future transfer fee. So stressed was Uche, that at one point he managed to bump his car at training.

The images of it being towed away from Getafe HQ spread around Spain.

Given all of that, it can be no great surprise the 22-year-old has struggled to quickly impose himself at Crystal Palace. There’s been talk of a quick return for Uche, given it’s increasingly unlikely his loan will turn permanent.

In response to that, Torres said he’d welcome the player back… but only to then find another club to sell him to.

For the youngster himself, it must all be a little confusing to say the least. Marca, have covered the situation and quote his latest social media post: “It hurts when you go through something that kills you inside, but you have to act like it doesn’t bother you at all. (Keep believing and have faith in everything you do),”

Torres continues to use Uche as a commodity, and his Crystal Palace move hasn’t turned into much of an escape.
