In the scene from the show, Jon‘s character Andrew “Coop” Cooper closes his eyes and lets loose at the club, and now thousands of social media users have taken the scene and applied it to various euphoric situations and/or nostalgic escapes into memories of their youth.
The audio featured in the original show was replaced on social media with a track called “Turn the Lights Off,” a 2010 track by Danish DJ Kato featuring the vocals of 2002′s Danish Popstars winner Jon Nørgaard.
The track was originally a No. 4 hit in Denmark and a Top 10 hit in Russia and Sweden, and is featured on his debut album Discolized.
“I said oh / Come on baby turn the lights off / Oh ’cause it’s getting late…” he sings.
