Sylvester Stallone debuts cane accepting Trump medal as fans ‘diasppointed’ – Celebrity News – Entertainment

President Donald Trump welcomed the 2025 Kennedy Center Honorees to the Oval Office on Saturday for a medal ceremony held earlier in the day.
The recipients included actor Sylvester Stallone, singer Gloria Gaynor, country artist George Strait, Kiss, and actor-singer Michael Crawford.
“A friend of mine, a wonderful person, a really spectacular person, one of the true great movie stars. Sylvester “Sly” Stallone. Thank you,” Trump said while honoring Stallone. It comes after Trump’s alarming health diagnosis was exposed by his doctor amid worrying MRI fears.
Trump, who previously distanced himself from the Kennedy Center and its annual awards during his first term, has returned to the tradition with significant changes.
Since retaking office in January, he replaced the Kennedy Center’s board of trustees with political allies and assumed the position of chairman himself.
Trump took the unusual step of personally announcing this year’s honorees at the Kennedy Center in August.
“I was about 98% involved,” he said at the time.
Past honorees were typically revealed through a press release and chosen by a bipartisan committee.
This year’s selection process was different.
Following the White House ceremony, Trump was slated to appear at the State Department’s annual dinner for honorees.
The Kennedy Center’s tribute show, which features performances celebrating each honoree, is scheduled to be recorded Sunday night.
It will later air on December 3 on CBS and Paramount+.
During Trump’s speech on December 6, he also took aim a Jimmy Kimmel.
“I just want to thank you all, I want to congratulate you all, and I want to thank the media — they’ve treated this with such great respect. We very much appreciate it. Now we’re going to go to the State Department with Secretary of State Rubio and have a special event, something which. was never done before, but we’ve never had a president hosting the awards before. This is a first.”
“I’m sure they’ll give me great reviews, right? You know? They’ll say, “He was horrible, he was terrible. It was a horrible situation, “No, I think we’ll do fine. I’ve watched some of the people that host. Jimmy Kimmel was horrible. Some of these people — if I can’t beat out Jimmy Kimmel in terms of talent, then I don’t think I should be president.”
It comes after Stallone’s neighbors have been left ‘livid over a wild plan for his mansion.
