FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE: Part 3 devs have narrowed down the game’s name to two choices

FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE is coming to Switch 2 on Jan. 22nd, 2026, and we know that REBIRTH will make its way to Switch 2 at some point in 2026 as well. Even better, Part 3 of the FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE series will get a Switch 2 launch as well, but timing on that release is up in the air…as is the game’s name.
Fans have been wondering what FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE: Part 3 will actually be called, as the final title hasn’t been revealed. There are all sorts of speculation out there and plenty of guesses, but now we know that the dev team hasn’t settled on a final choice yet either. That said, they have certainly narrowed things down. In a chat with YouTuber Julien Chièze, we learn that Square Enix’s Naoki Hamaguchi and Tetsuya Nomura currently have two different names in mind, and one of them will end up being the final title. The current goal for this duo is to settle on the game’s name before 2025 comes to a close. In other words, we might end up hearing what Part 3 is named before 2026 arrives!
