Taylor Swift to appear on ‘Colbert’ ahead of documentary release

Hey Stephen, Taylor Swift is returning to late night.

“The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” announced on social media that the singer will appear Wednesday, Dec. 10, posting a playful reel of Colbert dancing to Swift’s track “Opalite.” The clip ends with Swift in a cozy cardigan saying, “Hey Stephen,” a wink to her “Fearless” song.

Her Colbert appearance arrives just ahead of another major moment in Swift’s calendar: the Dec. 12 release of her six-part “Eras Tour” docuseries on Disney+. The trailer teases behind-the-scenes planning, sound bites from her mom Andrea Swift and a look at how Swift engineered the marathon three-hour shows. It also previews cameos from Ed Sheeran, Sabrina Carpenter and Florence Welch.

How to watch Taylor Swift on ‘Colbert’

The “Late Show with Stephen Colbert” airs at 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS with episodes available to stream on Paramount+ the following day.

Third late night show in three months

Colbert marks Swift’s third U.S. late-night stop of 2025. She promoted her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” on Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers. Her Fallon appearance felt like an Eras Tour eruption inside Studio 6B, with fans cheering nonstop throughout her lengthy interview. The two covered everything from her engagement to Travis Kelce to the meaning behind tracks like “The Fate of Ophelia” and the racy “Wood.” Fallon even handed her a list of wild rumors and asked her to confirm or deny them, including whether she turned down the 2026 Super Bowl.

“Late Night with Seth Meyers” delivered a different kind of charm. Meyers introduced her as his one and only guest and praised the scale of her recent accomplishments, from topping Billboard to owning the global box office with her “Official Release Party” film. Swift brought him homemade sourdough wrapped in bread-themed puns, explained how Kelce accidentally mixed up Greta Gerwig with Hugh Grant’s wife, Anna Eberstein, and revisited the saga of Zoë Kravitz’s escaped snake in Swift’s Los Angeles home. Meyers also pressed her on a question fans love to debate: When does she sleep? Swift insisted she sleeps “a lot,” but only after her work is done.
