‘LDF will achieve a historic victory, society will not accept attempts to justify sexual perverts’

KANNUR: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has reacted sharply again to the rape complaint against Rahul Mamkootathil MLA. He said that there have been recent campaigns that the complainant will be killed. The chief minister added that the government has always stood with the survivor in the incident of the actress being assaulted in Kochi. The chief minister responded when he came to cast his vote at the Junior Basic School at 8 am today.
‘When the elections to the local self-government bodies were announced, the LDF operated with great confidence. The elections are being completed today. The LDF had got a large support from the people. This will present a historic victory. The local self-government boundaries, which are usually considered to be the centers of the UDF, are ready to accept the LDF this time. The LDF will get a thumping victory this time.
Some things that should not have happened in Sabarimala has occurred. None of that will affect the election or the victory. The government has taken appropriate steps in the gold theft case. The devotees have accepted the actions taken by the government. All sections are supporting the LDF. The government is with the survivor in the actress attack case in Kochi. KPCC President Sunny Joseph’s stand on the rape complaint against Rahul Mamkootathil MLA is different. Why is the second complainant not ready to come forward with evidence? These things should be seen seriously. There was a death threat against her. Things beyond this may come to light. If we try to justify such sexually perverted criminals, the public will not accept it,’ said the chief minister.
