Recalling the bittersweet final hours, Sharon Osbourne said that he was “happy, loving, and present”. There were even discussions about his farewell concert.
“He was up and down to the bathroom all night, and it was, like, 4:30 a.m., and he said, ‘Wake up,’” Osbourne shared on Wednesday’s episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored. Divulging further details, the TV personality said, “I said, ‘I’m already bloody awake, you’ve woken me up’”.
Sharon Osbourne got teary-eyed while sharing Ozzy’s final words to her: “Kiss me. Hug me tight.”
As revealed by his wife Sharon, Ozzy, 76, had woken up early that morning. He insisted on hitting the gym despite his fragile health and collapsed 20 minutes later. As ear-piercing screams echoed through the house, Sharon knew that Ozzy was gone.
“I ran downstairs, and there he was, and they were trying to resuscitate him, and I’m like, ‘Don’t – just leave him. Leave him. You can’t. He’s gone,” she said. “They tried and tried, and then they took him by helicopter to the hospital, and they tried, and it’s like, ‘He’s gone. Just leave him,” the 73-year-old added.
The former talk show host shared four decades of marital bliss with Ozzy Osbourne. She was also his manager and is the mother of three of his children: Aimee, Kelly, and Jack. The rocker is the father of three other children — Jessica, Louis, and Elliot — from his previous marriage to Thelma Riley.
