‘Jimmy Neutron’ actor Jeff Garcia dead at 50: He ‘was a unique soul’

Jeff Garcia, the voice of Sheen in “Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius” and the Nickelodeon TV series “The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius,” died Wednesday at 50.

Garcia, who was hospitalized last month due to a case of pneumonia, was taken off life support Tuesday night at a Southern California hospital, Garcia’s family told TMZ.

Garcia’s son Jojo Garcia announced the news on social media.

“My father was a unique soul. He was unapologetically himself and I will always admire the love, compassion, and drive that he had,” he posted on Instagram. “He taught me so much and gave me advice that I live by every single day. He was a Father, Son, Uncle, Cousin, Brother, but most of all, he was my best friend.”

Jojo Garcia explained his father supported him in his own stand-up comedy.

“He believed in me, in a way that nobody else did,” he posted.

Garcia was battling a series of health setbacks in the months leading up to his death, according to TMZ. He suffered a brain aneurysm in the spring, during which he fell and hit his head. Although Garcia recovered from the aneurysm, he had a stroke several weeks ago.

“He has made such an impact on people’s lives internationally, whether you grew up watching ‘Jimmy Neutron’, or shared a laugh with him at one of his shows. He was my hero… I idolized him. He may be gone, but he will NEVER be forgotten,” JoJo Garcia continued.
