Actor Vicky Kaushal has showered praise on filmmaker Aditya Dhar following the roaring box office success of his latest directorial venture, ‘Dhurandhar’.

Taking to his Instagram stories in the early hours of Friday morning, the new dad applauded the director for his vision and execution of this “mammoth task”. Sharing a poster of the film, starring Ranveer Singh in the lead, Vicky wrote, “@Adityadharfilms you beauty! What a mammoth task it must be for you and your team to pull this film with such conviction, finesse and first-rate world building… Hats off!”The actor didn’t stop there. He went on to hail the film’s team and the cast, including Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, for their performances, adding, “Absolute PEAK PERFORMANCES! Technically brilliant. Supremely engaging. Kudos to all the Dhurandhars involved.”

‘Dhurandhar’ box office success

‘Dhurandhar’, has been dominating the box office since its release on December 5. The film defied all box office predictions to score an impressive Rs 207 crore week 1 collections. Meanwhile, the films’ international box office collections have surpassed the Rs 50 crore mark, thus taking the film’s overall worldwide box office collections to an estimated Rs 306 crore.

Vicky’s post comes amid a growing chorus of celebs applauding the film’s box office performance. Hrithik Roshan has praised Dhar’s spy-thriller, saying, “I love cinema, I love people who climb into a vortex and let the story take control, spin them, shake them until what they want to say is purged out of them onto that screen. ‘Dhurandhar’ is an example of that. Loved the storytelling. It’s cinema.”Akshay Kumar also extended his support, describing the film as a “gripping tale.” Akshay also extended his appreciation to Aditya, in a post that read,“#Watched Dhurandhar and I’m blown away. What a gripping tale and you’ve simply nailed it @AdityaDharFilms. We need our stories to be told in a hard-hitting way and I’m so glad the audiences are giving the film all the love it deserves.”
