Nicki Minaj slams Gov. Newsom’s trans kids stance, calls it ‘end of road’ for his career

Rapper Nicki Minaj claimed it’s the “end of the road” for California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom after the 2028 presidential hopeful shared in a New York Times interview that he wants to “see trans kids.”

“I want to see trans kids,” Newsom shared with Ezra Klein with the New York Times. “I have a trans godson. There’s no governor who has signed more pro-trans legislation than I have. No one has been a stronger advocate for the LGBTQ community.”

In a slew of posts to X, Minaj, who in recent months has teamed up the Trump administration to bring awareness to the persecution of Nigerian Christians, blasted Newsom for championing himself to be among the greatest advocates for transgender children. Healthcare providers have been divided on the issue of offering a child medical intervention to transition their gender. In November, a Department of Health and Human Service peer reviewed report revealed cause for concern for puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgical operations on minors, finding evidence that these could result in “significant, long term” harm.

Minaj did not hold back in her criticism of Newsom.

“Imagine being the guy running on wanting to see trans kids,” Minaj wrote with a picture of Chucky posted from the movie “Child’s Play.” “Haha. Not even a trans ADULT would run on that. Normal adults wake up & think they want to see HEALTHY, SAFE, HAPPY kids.”

In another post, which also included a picture of Chucky, Minaj said the era of Newsom relying on his good looks to achieve his goals has come to an end.

“Gavin is the cute boy who got everything handed to him b/c of how cute & sexy & hot & smoking he was,” Minaj wrote. “ Oohhh look @‘m. Sitting there in that suit with the sneakers on. He thinks he’s Tom Cruise only difference is, his next mission IS impossible. He should get another leading role.”

And in a final post, Minaj doubled down on her belief that Newsom will achieve his goal of winning the White House in 2028.

“Oh Gavvy pooh, it only gets worse from here for you, buddy. It’s the end of the road for you, my love,” Minaj wrote. “Get on the nearest jet ski & let that beautiful hair blow in the wind. It will make you happier than this race that you will not win. Enjoy life. Peace.”

Minaj’s attacks on Newsom come a day after she celebrated Vice President J.D. Vance’s “memeing” abilities.
