Kerala local body polls 2025 results LIVE: UDF cruises towards decisive win; NDA scripts history in Thiruvananthapuram Corporation

The United Democratic Front seems heading towards a major victory in municipalities across Ernakulam at the end of three hours of counting of votes. 

The front was leading in 12 municipalities including Aluva, Angamaly, Eloor, Kalamassery, Koothattukulam, Kothamangalam, Maradu, Muvattupuzha, North Paravur, Perumbavoor, Piravom and Thrikkakara. The National Democratic Alliance was leading in Thripunitura municipality.

Of the 13 municipalities, the United Democratic Front (UDF) had won eight in the 2020 polls that included Thrikkakara, Kalamassery, Muvattupuzha, Perumbavoor, North Paravur, Maradu, Aluva and Angamaly. The Left Democratic Front had secured victory in Eloor, Koothattukulam, Kothamangalam, Piravom and Thripunitura municipalities.
