Tyrique Stevenson set to return Sunday vs. Browns

Stevenson revealed that watching last Sunday’s game at home was “very weird.”

“I’m calling out plays, I’m yelling,” he said. “I woke my son up a couple times. I got in trouble for that. It definitely felt weird just not to be there with the guys and go out and feel that energy, feel that motivation playing the Green Bay Packers.”

Fellow cornerback Jaylon Johnson also was not given an injury designation after practicing in full all week. The two-time Pro Bowler will play in his third straight game after missing nine contests with a groin injury. Johnson played 61.1% of the defensive snaps Nov. 28 against the Eagles and 66.0% last Sunday in Green Bay.

“He’s getting closer and closer [to full strength] each and every week,” said defensive coordinator Dennis Allen. “When you think about a guy that really hadn’t played a lot of football basically in about a year, it takes a little bit of time to get back to where you need to be. He’s working extremely hard to do that.”

While Stevenson and Johnson will be on the field together for the first time since the season opener, nickel back Kyler Gordon has been ruled out of Sunday’s game with a groin injury that he sustained during pre-game warm-ups in Green Bay.

In other injury news, running back Travis Homer will sit out Sunday with an ankle injury and receiver Rome Odunze is questionable with a foot injury that limited him all week in practice and forced him to miss the Packers game.

The Browns, meanwhile, will face the Bears without three and possibly four of their five starting offensive linemen.

Center Ethan Pocic was lost for the season with a torn Achilles tendon last weekend against the Titans. Pro Bowl right guard Wyatt Teller (calf) and right tackle Jack Conklin (concussion) have been ruled out of Sunday’s game. And left guard Joel Bitonio (knee/back) is questionable after being limited in Friday’s practice.

Tight end David Njoku (knee) and cornerback Denzel Ward (calf) also will sit out Sunday’s game for Cleveland.
