A person has been hit by a train in Lanarkshire as emergency services remain on the scene of the major incident.
It happened at Uddingston just after 11am as the Avanti cross border service from Glasgow to London was coming into the station.
Police and ambulance crews raced to the scene and sealed off the area.
We understand the train is now being retuned to Glasgow.
Scotrail said: “Emergency services are dealing with an incident in the Uddingston area, unfortunately we can’t run trains as the line is currently blocked whilst teams access the site. We’re working closely with teams on the ground to get the line reopened ASAP.”
We will have more this story when we get it.
