Broncos release updated depth chart ahead of Packers game

The Denver Broncos have released an updated depth chart ahead of their Week 15 showdown with the Green Bay Packers, but there are no notable changes.
Denver made three roster moves last Saturday, including promoting tight end Marcedes Lewis from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. To make room for Lewis on the active roster, Denver waived linebacker Garret Wallow. Lewis has been slotted in as TE4 on the depth chart.
Fans should note that while it comes straight from the team, the Broncos still call this an “unofficial” depth chart, so it should be taken with a grain of salt. With that in mind, here’s a look at how players stack up going into Week 15.
Quarterback (2)
Denver also has Sam Ehlinger on the practice squad.
Running back (3)
Denver also has Deuce Vaughn and Sincere McCormick available on the practice squad.
Tight end/fullback (5)
Marcedes Lewis was elevated from the practice squad three times while Nate Adkins was sidelined with a knee injury, then he was fully promoted to the active roster over the weekend.
Wide receiver (5)
The Broncos cut Trent Sherfield and replaced him with Lil’Jordan Humphrey last month.
Offensive line (8)
- LT: Garett Bolles, Geron Christian
- LG: Alex Palczewski, Calvin Throckmorton
- C: Luke Wattenberg, Alex Forsyth
- RG: Quinn Meinerz, Alex Palczewski
- RT: Mike McGlinchey, Frank Crum
Palczewski is also listed as the backup right guard despite starting at left guard. In reality, if Denver needed another guard to step in, Throckmorton would presumably be the top backup for both spots.
Defensive line (7)
- DE: Zach Allen, Jordan Jackson
- DT: D.J. Jones, Malcolm Roach
- DE: John Franklin-Myers, Eyioma Uwazurike, Sai’vion Jones
Roach is perhaps one of the best “backup” defensive linemen in the NFL.
Outside linebacker (5)
Elliss, Tillman and Robinson form quite the trio of rotational pass rushers behind starters Cooper and Bonitto.
Inside linebacker (3)
Justin Strnad served as a fill-in starter while Dre Greenlaw was sidelined earlier this year, and he filled in again after Alex Singleton underwent successful surgery for testicular cancer. Greenlaw and Singleton have since returned to the lineup and Strnad now plays a rotational role.
Cornerback (5)
Surtain returned to the lineup last week after missing three games with a pectoral injury.
Safety (5)
Key, Skinner and Locke have played almost exclusively on special teams this season.
Special teams (3)
- K: Wil Lutz
- P: Jeremy Crawshaw
- LS: Mitchell Fraboni
- KR: Marvin Mims, Jaleel McLaughlin, Tyler Badie
- PR: Marvin Mims, Riley Moss
With four games remaining, Mims has quietly racked up 1,260 all-purpose yards, a career high.
