Dianne Buswell has shared a “magical” pregnancy update ahead of the Strictly Come Dancing semi final. The professional dancer announced her pregnancy earlier this year with partner and YouTube star Joe Sugg. The couple have shared regular insights of the pregnancy journey.
Today, Dianne shared pictures of her growing baby bump as she posed for a mirror selfie. Other pictures shared by the Australian dancer were of knitted baby outfits ahead of their arrival. On Instagram, she captioned a post: Genuinely thought the body changing would really stress me out but it’s really magical.”
The news of the pregnancy was revealed in an adorable Instagram reel. The star met the YouTuber when they were paired together back in 2018 for the hit dance show, and their relationship has since blossomed.
The couple made it to the competition’s final before being beaten by fellow contestants Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton. In September, Dianne shared a reel with Joe, captioned: “Our little baby boy [loveheart emoji] we cannot wait to meet you.” In the playful video, the pair were seen ‘painting’ three stick figures with ‘2026’ at the top of the drawing to Elton John’s Tiny Dancer.
Dianne previously told the Express she never anticipated finding love on the BBC show. She said: “I feel like all the stars aligned with Joe. We’re just literally such similar people in so many ways. We’re very different in ways too, but just our personalities just click so, so well.

“I always think it’s so weird how we met and I feel like everything was just aligned in the right place, right time for both of us. It was pretty special.”
In the ongoing series of Strictly Come Dancing, Dianne had been paired with Australian actor Stefan Dennis, who was forced to leave the show after an injury. Dianne had to defend herself after she was accused of being part of a “cover up”, when she had to exit the competition alongside Stefan.
She previously said: “As I have had loads of people messaging me thinking this is a cover up for me not being able to dance. Firstly, we wouldn’t lie especially about someone being sick and secondly I am fine. Yes I am pregnant but I’m also very capable and feeling good. Thirdly there are things in place if any pro was to get sick in injured.”
Dianne also slammed a message that had been sent to her about her pregnancy. It said: “I don’t want to see her dance being pregnant, it’s already feeling uncomfortable and she’s only starting to show. It’s really not appropriate.”
The current Strictly champion shared to her story: “I can’t believe in 2025 things like this are still being said.” When Dianne and Joe shared the pregnancy news, the post was liked by over 615,000 people and thousands also commented.
After her latest Instagram post showing off her baby bump, fans sent supportive messages to Dianne. One comment said: “Gorgeous photos. I can’t believe how big he’s getting, genuinely so so beautiful Di. Happy to see you thriving.”
Another comment said: “Just so magical and beautiful in every way. Women’s bodies are incredible” and “Gorgeous. I still can’t get over next Christmas you’ll have a little baby boy!”
