So, can she do it? You bet she can. Karen’s waltz is elegant, beautiful and soft, showing us she can tackle ballroom as well as anyone (well, almost). It’s really lovely and, for Karen, pretty exceptional. However, it does lack a little bit of flow and you can tell this is not her natural thing.
The judges… Well, they’re the pros, so I can’t argue with them. They loved it! Anton and Shirley literally shed tears, they are so moved. “My heart skips a beat,” says Anton, before he, Shirley and Motsi underline Karen’s Journey. “I never thought we would see that,” says Shirley, wiping a tear. Craig cools things a little – elbow, head placement – but he is giddy too. “Very, very beautiful.”
