Cicero stabbing: Ubano Diaz identified as man killed in 3200 block of South 54th Court, police say person of interest in custody

CICERO, Ill. (WLS) — Cicero police have identified a man who was stabbed to death on Saturday evening.

At about 10:30 p.m., police said they responded to the 3200-block of South 54th Court.
Police found Ubano Diaz 73, with a stab wound. He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital where he died.
Cicero police said a person of interest was found driving away from town.
A short police chase ensued from I-55 to I-94 and with support from the Illinois State Police.
Police said the chase stopped at Vincennes and 119th Street in Chicago, where the person of interest was detained.
No crashes or injuries were reported in the pursuit.
Cicero police said they believe it was an isolated incident.
No other information was released.
