Drivers are advised to use a detour in the Naches area until repairs are completed. The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) confirmed that repair work has begun, but traffic on the detour may be slow.

WSDOT stated that road crews will construct a buttress to block the river, rebuild the embankment, and backfill the highway with gravel.
