Individual figures have been revealed after residents in a Devon town hit the jackpot just in time for Christmas as they share a whopping £18.3 million prize pot.

Hundreds of people in Tiverton have secured the People’s Postcode Lottery’s biggest-ever single prize.

EX16 6TX was announced as the full winning postcode as neighbours will bag a share of the cash.

The breakdown of how much each winner will take has now been announced by the Postcode Lottery.

Three Tiverton neighbours scooped the biggest cheques, playing in the winning postcode. Every ticket was worth £416,949.

Another 819 players in the EX16 6 postcode sector area won prizes ranging from £18,592 to £74,368, depending on how many tickets they play with.

Winning locals discovered exactly how much they have scooped during a special Postcode Millions prize event at the market town’s 400-year-old Blundell’s School yesterday (Saturday, December 13).

Postcode Lottery ambassadors Judie McCourt, Danyl Johnson and Matt Johnson were all at the event to reveal the winning cheques at Blundell’s School.

Matt said: “To be part of the biggest ever single prize in Postcode Lottery’s history and be able to celebrate with so many neighbours winning together in Tiverton has been such a privilege. What a glorious and memorable day it’s been!

“I hope the winners are continuing their celebrations and having fun thinking about how to spend their prizes.”

Postcode Lottery players have helped raise more than £1.5 billion for thousands of charities simply by playing. One of those charities, Young Lives vs Cancer, has received over £22 million in funding. They provide vital emotional, practical, financial and clinical support to young cancer patients and their families.

This year, a much-loved local charity, Action East Devon, received £50,000 thanks to players. They work with children and young people, as well as their families, running support services for mental health and wellbeing.
